I would like to know where people acquire police PBA badges and cards

+1. I have one from a sergeant and it helped last week when I got pulled for talking on a cell phone while passing a red light....

Sorry, I was just holding my phone in my hand, I was not actually talking.

Officer: License and registration.

Me: I gave him my DL together with the PBA card, and he just threw them back to me giving me a warning..

It had the sergeants name and phone # on it.

That could backfire imo. Better to ask nicely for some courtesy and say ur relative is a cop etc...

Just got pulled over for running the stop sign at West Maple/Viola in Monsey. Gave cop my 2014 Rockland PBA card. He asked who have it to me; I truthfully told him it's from my cousin (he's a PBA lawyer). He let me off, but told me that I have to ask for a new card; the one I gave him expired.

Does anyone know about the silver card?

Got pulled over today by NY state police for doing 50 in a 35 mile zone. Gave them a PBA card, and after being grilled about how I know the guy and who he is, they let me off.

Nice - I haven't gotten pulled over too many times since I started carrying a PBA card about two years ago, but the 2-3 times I did, they let me off each time.

Me too. But this was the first time they grilled me, and it was obvious that they only let me off because of it.
