Milage runs or you actually paid for vacations? Usually your vacations are in high class hotels that you wouldn't pay cash for.... so is it worth a milage run of 75 nights just for the status?

agree to a rate of 50 dollars a night, every 2 nights you get a free night. free night=100 dollars. they will just check you in and out without showiung up.... I love my hyatt diamond and spg platinum, earned it the "hard" wasy. Stayed 35 nights in starwood and 55 in hyatt

but why would they agree to $50 per night if the rate is 2-3 times that? is the free night earned good at any hotel around the world?

With SPG FRN it was every 3 nights for a FRN.  And the last Hyatt FFN was last year.
