With no upgrades to OWB, other resorts are probably the way to go if you're schlepping to the Maldives...

Sounds to me from that review that if you write to this GM (and let them know you'll be posting on TA) that they'll probably take care of you...
Def. wouldn't shlep all the way there though without something in writing confirming an OWB.

Reviews on Trip Adviser of "Luxury Hotels" are generally a waste of time because you have no idea what the persons standards are. One person's Five Star resort is anothers Motel Six
