Paper bags are included why?? Because these legislatures just love passing laws to make their mark inconvenience the world but who cares were saving the environment....

I hate the 10 cent charge in LA. U feel like u can't throw out bags, so have a ton of paper and  (reusable, biodegradable ) plastic bags all over the place.  But then u have to remember to bring it to your car and into the store. When u use reusable bags, it's just a mess in your trunk,  then u have to remember to wash them periodically. ..
Btw those using food stamps don't pay for bags

a new revenue stream for diBlasio If you dont charge them you have to pay a $250 fine for the first infraction and a $500 for the next. Just a way for him to raise more money like lowering the speed limit to 25. When that dries up they'll find something else to tax. And their selling point was that it will make money for the storekeepers?!?!?

Don't see what the problem is. In Brooklyn and elsewhere with large supermarkets, I always ask for a box anyway. So the only time you'll really have to pay is when you do a small shopping.
