Lost MR due to closing last MR CC by mistake

Friend closed his green card 2 weeks ago and lost his MR, anything he can do to get his 100K+ points back? Anyone here have experience?

What happened was he chatted to downgrade his Platinum to Green, in the meantime he got a email confirming his card closing request.

He didn't do anything because he didn't really care that it was closed, until he realized that his points were lost.

Can't he reopen the account?  Then he'll have more than 30 days.

You should be able to reinstate account within 30 days of closure.

When he reinstated account, he got a new MR account or they reverted the old MR account?

mr acc are not connected to each other so when you dont have a card attached to the mr acc the points will be forfeited

So if you get a card reinstated, and it has a different number it's worthless?
