Transferring mr points

if i have 100k mr poinst im planning a future trip to Europe i currently have 100k miles on united is it more worth it for me to transfer to united where i already have miles or open up a ba account and use the first time bonus and transfer there

It really depends on your planned itinerary and availability/mileage cost with those two airlines' award programs. For example if one has availability in a cheaper award class then it's a no-brainer. Perhaps it's time for myb821's eurotrip planning thread?

not yet im looking very far ahead like maybe more then a yr its just i might be canceling the card and have no other ones open right now so i was wondering what the better option would be

I'd say stick with United, as BA to Europe has crazy fuel surcharges. Though it's hard to predict how CO/UA FF program will evolve over the next year or so.

Sounds right. Should be $0.60 per thousand with a max of $99 IIRC.

But then you can't fly on AC without paying $$$, there are MPM issues, and the miles have a soft (1 year) and hard (7 years) expiration policy.
Other than that they're great for J/F awards to Europe, Asia, and Australia.

sorry for my ignorance can u explain what ac is what mpm is and what ur opinion on what i should do?
