Major Spg dilemma
« on: March 22, 2011, 01:46:18 AM »
 ;D I have a major dilemma ;D

My sister only has 10k spg points, and she wants to go to the LM Dead Sea on a weekend for 2 nights. Upon availability, is she better off using a total of 2400 points plus $50, or 4000 points? ;D

Also, being that she is in Israel for over 3 months, does any of these options make a difference with regard to her possibly needing to pay VAT?

you are asking if she should pay 50 for 1600 points.
that is like 3 cents a point. doesn't sound very good to me.

I don't know anything about Value added tax. I generally try to avoid paying all taxes. I have an uncle in the IRS who grants me waivers.

If she is on a tourist visa, which last up until 3 months from entry into israel, then there is no tax.

I wrote that she is in Israel for over 3 months already.
