So, where are you guys interested in going on a photo workshop, and when? The basic framework would be a few nights (Sunday-Thursday max), all inclusive except for flights. I'm wide open to build something around your ideas.
I have a few ideas. (in semi-random order)
Right now I'm only listing things in the US & Canada. As much as I'm dying to do a trip to Antarctica or even New Zealand I need to be budget conscious here...
1. A quick jaunt out to Maine, primarily Acadia. I'm thinking 3 day/4 night driving from NY, maybe something like leave m"sh and make it back in time for work Wed. Alternatively, make it a full week and head to Nova Scotia as well? Or maybe make a trip of just NS and Newfoundland?
Maine is definitely from the less exciting places on this list but it's also the most accessible/potentially cheapest
2. alaska.
There is so much I want to do there I don't even know where to start. Though some of my top Alaska bucket list items are not necessarily ideal photoDO things, e.g. Driving the Dalton Highway and (arguably) Brooks falls.
One thing that would probably make a pretty good self-contained trip is the
Alaska milk run 3. Banff/Jasper. 'nuff said.
4. Pacific northwest.
I gotta get Washington and Oregon under my belt already...
As I'm typing I realize the list is endless, especially once I start thinking of all the places I've already been but want to go shoot again/properly.
Yellowstone/Grand Teton, Glacier NP, Southern Utah (Bryce/ Zion / Canyonlands / Arches / etc etc,) Yosemite, Smokey Mountains, and the list goes on...
