My daughters seminary wants us to book a group flight on EL AL right after Succos. Not that excited about that.
https://www.globes.co.il/news/article.aspx?did=1001339779Another potential bidder for ELAL. Calls for Government to remove their backstop.
Another bid? https://www.bhol.co.il/news/1132458
https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/el-al-chosen-to-carry-out-first-commercial-flight-from-israel-to-uae-640166"Ultimately El Al was chosen, and will fly Israeli and US officials on the Boeing 737, chosen over the Dreamline 787, as the latter is not yet equipped with the Israel Aerospace Industries's Skyshiled systems"
So LY's famed missile avoidance systems aren't on any 787s?And why don't they fly a 777?
After 5 months grounding, ELAl just took this 737 for airworthiness flight. It's planned to take historic Israeli delegation to UAE next week for normalization talks. Three pilots are heading Amsterdam for urgent simulator, as they have also not flown in ages. More later..4x-ehd pic.twitter.com/1Hb7eNXgit— avi scharf (@avischarf) August 27, 2020

I find it very hard to believe. Most times they have received a new 787 they had a two week gap where they were 'upgrading' them
