Yeah i get back. But until recently they wouldn't let LY security enter turkey so evidently they changed their mind since there is always security in LY cargo planes.

I guess when it comes to their interest, can't hurt to help LY

Considering Turkish flies to TLV, I assume they have de of what they would need on the ground already.

It's very different. LY has its own crew protecting the planes, plus local law enforcement protecting the crew and the assets etc

Random question - can a flight be 'confirmed' and not be for sale  ;D

I have a booking for a tlv-bru at the end of June.
It's still marked as confirmed and I can see the seat map in expert flyer.

However.. LY is not selling any ticket to BRU until August for obvious reasons. So you won't find my flight on google flight etc

Sure. Happens all the time. They aren't interested in the risk of selling seats, but aren't ready to cancel the flight yet.

The sooner they cancel the sooner they have to refund. They'll cancel last minute.

I am very skeptical how accurate that report was. In any case, I doubt it will last long. IAA is a government agency, so they can survive without the money. IAA has been pushing highly misleading news repeatedly.

There have been comments and DDMS saying that TAhave seen refunds.
But based on my experience (they owe me quite a few tickets) but comments on Israeli travelers groups, I don't know anyone first hand who have received any refunds
