In view of the security situation, EL AL announced that it will allow customers whose departure date applies in the coming days and are interested in changing their flight date, to do so at no charge, or to freeze their ticket for a future date or alternative destination without any handling fees.

Customers who wish to cancel will receive a voucher with the full value of the ticket.

In changing the flight date to an alternative date, El Al emphasized that requests to change the departure date until the end of May can be done without any price difference, and is dependent on the availability of space.

Passengers can find information about changes in the flight schedules through regular El AL channels or by calling 03-9771111.

They allow free changes with vouchers regardless of the security situation.

The only difference here is that you can rebook at higher fares without paying the price difference

Can someone who has flown both El Al economy and premium describe the difference and offer an opinion if its worth it?

Premium should be comparable to domestic first class. Bigger seat, more recline, better food.

Worth is relative to the cost and how you value your comfort and money.

I found the economy hard product on the Dreamliner more comfortable than United and Delta products on ny tlv route. (I'm very tall-I don't use the words comfortable and economy together very often)

I am using Qantas points so the difference in price is not much of a concern and comfort is.  I had hoped to book business but frustratingly only one seat is available and I need 2.  I am not that familiar with domestic first class.  El Al economy can be terrible. I once flew in some type of upgraded economy, not sure what it was called, it was something but not much.  Was about $125 extra for one way, gave a few more inches and not much else. Was in same cabin, but up at the front.

Really? Wow. I thought that I remembered liking United better. Never flew Delta. How about Premium? Any experience?

I have seen the seats... Not sat in them. United and elal seem similar.

New York businessman Kenny Rozenberg, who made aliyah in March, was granted a permit to become the controlling shareholder in El Al Airlines, the company reported on Wednesday.

Kenny’s son Eli officially gained control of El Al in October when his holding company Kanfei Nesharim Aviation purchased 42.9% of the company despite opposition from the previous board of directors due to the fact that he was serving as a “stand-in” for his father, who was unable to make the purchase at the time due to his lack of Israeli citizenship.

Now that the senior Rozenberg is an Israeli citizen, he and his son will manage the airline together.

Chairman Brodet resigns.. not really sure goals he's referring to..  ::)

"I set goals for myself, and I'm happy to say that they have been achieved accordingly. As far as I'm concerned, my period of reserve duty has come to an end," Brodet wrote..

IMHO likely to be replaced by Rozenberg
