how much did she pay?

YQ?

Not sure of the exact amount,  but assume she had to pay YQ. This was part of TLV-HKG-PER rt

Any idea on what QF charges in YQ on an ElAl award NYC-TLV-NYC?
IME no YQ ex-Asia or the US.
I think that might have changed very recently.

I don't think any currency transfers to them.
Dan just wrote up that Citi transfers to them.

I acknowledged that TYP transfer.

Right about TYP.

Strange, my MIL booked TLV-HKG rt using QF points last month, for travel in business class in November. She had to call up as no seats available on QF website.

Do you know if she's in business on all flights?

It just says classic flight reward, doesn't seem to indicate economy only:
https://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/flying/using-points-awards-upgrades

For travel from 1 February 2015:

You can only use your Qantas Points on El Al for a Classic Flight Reward in Economy class.

Will they drop their prices?

I am curious to know what people think of the Economy comfort on Elal, is it worth the money.

Also should I pay the pay another $50  and fly delta economy comfort to israel over Elal EC?

Prices don't "drop", if you can find now the lowest class available you can have it for $989 (or whatever the lowest fare is). The more full the flight is the more expensive fare you get

I'm flying el al tomorrow. They seem to only allow one carry on. And they weigh it. Would I be able to bring along a briefcase?

http://www.elal.com/en/PassengersInfo/Baggage/Pages/Hand-Bag.aspx

Seems to indicate only 1 bag in economy. I'm assuming they don't enforce it?
