Are you allowed to bring a personal item on elal NYC to TLV route, besides a carry=on luggage?
Does a hatbox count as a personal item?

depends. if you are yeshivish or Lubavitch, then why are you bringing a box if the hat is on your head, thus, its a personal item.
if you are not, then its batul to the hat which is a piece of clothing, not an item.

You're referring to El Al or in general?
Elal no longer flies double deckers

Someone told me he was allowed to bring on a handbag, personal bag, AND a hatbox.
Is that the norm?

ELAL Changed my flight from TLV to JFK instead of EWR. I then had them change me to a earlier flight to EWR being that my original flight to EWR was not operating anymore, am i entitled to compensation?
PM me for airline compensation help. Your case is not lost!

Elal flight attendant "....For all the religious people that want to pray, you must do so in your seat. If you do not listen to these guidelines you will be fined by the state of Israel". Great job!

I was on the same flight as him and the rest of the LY delegation to ldn.

My 2 cents is that there is no clear vision in what they want to achieve. It's startup nation so they get approached by many startups, and LY also has its own Accelerator, but I don't get a sense that all these partnerships make a tons of sense.

In any case, it's great that they are aware of some of their shortcomings and trying to address them

There was some kind of virtual meeting today, apparently they're making headway for earn/burn with 2 of the 3 major U.S. airlines.

Also, all holders of Flycard Premium will be getting Gold status for a year.  No idea if this applies to grandfathered holders of the U.S.-based Flycard Preferred (closed to signups...).

Could we be entering a new and interesting era for El Al?  Back to 70K AA for El Al biz???  Will @Dan finally fly El Al?

At any rate, having Gold with El Al for the next year will now definitely have me flying with them as first pick whenever possible (at least for the TLV outbound leg).
