There was some kind of virtual meeting today, apparently they're making headway for earn/burn with 2 of the 3 major U.S. airlines.
Also, all holders of Flycard Premium will be getting Gold status for a year. No idea if this applies to grandfathered holders of the U.S.-based Flycard Preferred (closed to signups...).

At any rate, having Gold with El Al for the next year will now definitely have me flying with them as first pick whenever possible (at least for the TLV outbound leg).
