If you're referring to the statement about departing on time, it's very common for airlines to mention on time departure and gate closing times on their BPs. I don't think that's their slogan in any way.

Someone posted a message on the wall (in Hebrew) asking when flights to Miami will commence.

El Al replied: שלום סבטה, תודה רבה על פנייתך, אל על בוחרת את מגוון יעדיה עפ"י שיקולים מסחריים ותפעוליים. לצערנו הקו הישיר למיאמי אינו עומד על הפרק בשלב זה משיקולים אלו. תודה

Quick translation: Sveta, thank you for contacting us.  El Al chooses its various destinations according to operational and commercial considerations.  Unfortunately, direct flights to Miami are not currently being considered at this time, per the mentioned considerations.  Thank you.

Which might be a contributing factor in me not flying there other than for family reasons (which in recent years have become more frequent).

Also, how about hire a different CEO (of the Gordon Bethune type). As they say in Hebrew הדג מסריח מהראש!

Maybe I'm misinformed but which planes in their fleet are from the 80s? Also age of actual plane isn't as relevant in their image. Which LY plan​e is older than Air Force One?

I defenatly know that I flew on their 747's when I was really young. The difference between air Force one and Elal's 747's is that air Force one gets used maybe once or twice a week. Elal's uses thier planes almost 24/6. That's one of the reasons that so often they have mechanical related delays.

Age of planes and subsequent flight delays are very relevant to thier image.
For all thier talk of safety and security, I am very nervous to get on a plane that old.
