"comissionable (old voucher) or non comissionable (new one)"

What does this mean?

If it starts 111451, then agents can claim commissions on tickets issued with this voucher. if it starts 111459 then no

So no good deals using the voucher with the higher prices today unless someone sells at a discount

Have the bid upgrades been clearing on el al flights lately. From nyc to tlv and from tlv to nyc? And at what prices. Obviously depends if there are open seats but looking for DPs

I have an Elal voucher. If I book a flight for a friend and they want to cancel that flight will they issue a voucher again?

I guess my question is is a ticket that is bought with a voucher cancellable for another voucher?

Did LY just change their pricing structure? Since the beginning of the war, NY-TLV flights were capped at $799 each way. Now anything for the next month is $1130. Did they finally decide to take advantage of the situation?

I wonder what you would charge if you were (one of)the only airline(s) flying in an out of Israel right now

They can charge 3k a seat and still have people thanking them for flying.

At the company level they already announced that they expect their financial results to be significantly below expectations

Its totally normal for a business to “take advantage” of a consumer, since their primary goal is to make money, and people are willing to pay it. When they initially capped the prices they claimed they were doing so to not take advantage of people who were stuck (I’m sure they weren’t losing money on those flights either). Call it whatever you want, the basic reading of the change is that now they feel comfortable to do something they didn’t 2 weeks ago.
If I want to be דן לכף זכות, the logic may be that in the first 2 weeks people were actually “stuck” on both sides, and as a gesture of good will (and maybe some sense of responsibility, at least for PR purposes) they standardized the prices. At this point, those traveling are probably going for business/personal reasons, so there’s no reason they shouldn’t operate like a regular business, and charge whatever people would pay.
I don’t think they owe anyone anything, and the fact that they did this till now was above and beyond what they could’ve done. I just was trying to point out a change in the policy.
If they’d charge $3K they would only get absolutely necessary travelers, and would go with empty planes. The range they’re pricing now is on the higher end, but still something that one may push themselves for non-essential reasons as well.
For me personally it’s annoying because I’m trying to help my sister get back to Israel and was hoping they’d pay less.

Elal announced they are no longer over flying Oman.

So they are back to the route around the Arabian Peninsula.

Its not taking advantage at all if load factor is less prices have to be higher to pay to fly
same reason J costs more than Y

I have a one way ticket on El Al from JFK to TLV on 12/12. I bought it at a great price but my return was on AA and has been cancelled. Rather than change the El Al flight to a later date, would El Al allow me to give the ticket to a friend who is trying to get back to Israel?

Is load factor actually less these days, considering they have no competition? I hear why you’d assume so but wondering if you had any DP.

No.
You may be able to get AA to rebook you on El Al.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
