I've received from LY two OW upgrade vouchers, that can be used on "upgradable" revenue tickets (either coach to biz, or biz to first). Not sure that's the definition of upgradable, but I assume it's the highest fares.

Since the vouchers are freely transferable, does anyone have any idea what would be their market value?

I always see people asking different questions regarding ELAL, so I thought maybe we could have a MT? If there's already a thread like this, please move my post there. I couldn't find it.

Question: I booked a ticket months ago for my mom, but now with the situation, she's having reservations coming. How much does ELAL charge for canceling tickets? How far in advance do I need to cancel? Don't want to cancel it yet, as I hope she changes her mind. And how much does it cost to reschedule a ticket? I remember it use to be once for free, but that's probably not the case anymore.

Most carriers don't have change/cancellation penalties that apply to all tickets. Depending on which class of service the ticket was booked in, the rules of the fare may allow the ticket to be changed/refunded for a penalty, changed/refunded at no penalty, or the ticket may be fully nonchangeable/nonrefundable. Generally lower fares that were booked when the lower classes of service were available will have more restrictive rules. That being said, there is no way for a ddfer to quote a specific penalty to change or cancel your mom's ticket. The easiest way to find out the rules of your mother's ticket, is by calling Elal directly or the TA (if she used one) who booked the ticket.

I should add that several times there is a different penalty for changes and cancellations. If you ask for both penalties, you can decide which way to go.

Yes, but you need an upgradable ticket, plus availability for the upgrade

You will need a Y/S/M class to be eligible for upgrade, and you will need R space to clear the upgrade. I think you need 700 Matmid points to upgrade.
