I got already a space seat (middle seat, but I was offered the aisle because there was a couple traveling together ) for free cause there was no reg seats left, That's what I'll always do when there's only middle seats left cause I have nothing to lose and a chance to get extra leg room

On the other hand if it's an overbooked flight, The 1st people bumped, are the people without seats....

I hear, so if I have a booking with three passengers would they accommodate to sit together? Question is if I see now one aisle seat should I grab it first (cuz after all it's a aisle) even though would like to sit together.

Flights are full these days and you will probably get middle seats. Even if not, 3 seats together on the day of the flight is unlikely. If you see an aisle I would grab it.

If there's no aisle/window I'll not select anything, can't get worse then a middle seat anyway

It happens to be that they are usualy amazing with everything to do with the issue, even just on flight changes for people effected by a petirah.
I know s/o in the pre-kenny days who was on a trip to EY when her mother died, and shiva was in EY. They let her change her ticket for no charges at all - even though it changed into the high demand/cost pre bain hazmanim flights

Not selecting a seat isn't a bad strategy to get E+ for free, just be aware of the risks.

Last couple of times when I had more than one pax on a record with no availability of seating together on ly, I left it empty and got seats together at the end, of course no definite but was worth it! I'm referring to heavy times like peasach and shvuous!
