Right right
It's a mistake
@tavster I figured out what happened.
I'm flying premium class, Elal allows Premium Class Gold members 2x 32kg bags while they allow Economy Class Gold members 3x 23kg bags. Very odd to split it up that way, but that's what it is.

Does LY accept bid upgrades before "free class upgrade"?

If by free class upgrade you mean 'Extras', then yes - bid upgrades clear first

1 passenger voucher request went through, the other passanger shows "The ticket you entered does not qualify for any benefit. For your convenience, contact Customer Service to change your flight dates."

Any solution?

No

Was it booked after August 4?

"Passengers holding a flight ticket for flights departing from August 1, 2024, through September 7, 2024, issued until August 4, 2024..."

Yes, buy it has elal protect hence being able to receive a voucher for one of the passengers.

Okay, maybe someone else can explain, or try the help line. Just make sure you do that before 24 hours or they will deny.

YMMV, Simply show your ELAL reservation to the AA check-in agent and ask

Anyone know the differences between the Mehadrin meals and regular Kosher meals on JFK to TLV and back? For both kids and adults?

Also, there are not 6 seats together (2 adults and 4 kids) on our JFK to TLV flight for Chanukah. Is it worth calling up now or wait till we get closer in the hope they upgrade us instead of moving other people around?

Ex-US they should be the same food:
'The El-Al meals from New York are certified in the commissary only, but due to the way they are served, it is recommended to order a Regal (Mehadrin) Meal. The Orthodox Union does not certify the planes."

Ex-TLV the rabanut food is supposed to be much better than the mehadrin food.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you.  One last question- we booked one itinerary and are  flying from Buffalo on Delta to JFK and from JFK to TLV.  I assume our luggage will be checked through and we do not need to go through security again in JFK?

From LAX the food was exactly the same between mehadrin and regular, only difference was that Mehadrin was sealed and had OU whereas regular only had Rabbi of El Al.
