Customers who purchased a ticket on or before October 1st, for a flight scheduled to depart on or before November 9th, 2024, may cancel their ticket without a cancellation fee and receive a voucher for future use on EL AL flights.
I purchased it post OCT 1 what’s the process

Checking availability for the end of November beginning of December showing near 0 availability there’s 1 flight with 1 ticket.
Is this accurate or is Elal allowing travel agents to hold tickets?
Freaking out a little because-
My dates are dependent on baby being born so I will not know until I need to fly.
Any ideas other than booking many dates and being left with many vouchers?

Get a TA to put you on the waitlist for flights around that time...

Had the same situation a few months ago, called them up, after explaining the situation and a lengthy hold, the points where added back to my account.

With the Flex fares that includes a space seat and protect, if you cancel will you get back all the money as a voucher? as opposed to buying a regular fare, and then a space seat,  upon cancel you lose what you paid for the seat.

Looked at flights out of all their USA destinations, like JFK, EWR, MIA, BOS?

Otherwise, find alternate means to Cyprus then look for availability from there.

For US flights that are cancellable up to 4 hours before departure.

El Al Protect only gives you the benefit of vouchers that are usable by anyone, whereas cancellation is only usable by the original passenger.

Is this correct?

Booked a ticket and now want to change it. The new ticket costs less than the original one if booked now, but El Al is saying there's a fare difference of $279 - that there are different prices for creating a new reservation or changing an existing one. Sounds like an effective change fee to me.
Anyone had similar and got them to change at no additional cost? This ticket already cost over 2k to bring my daughter home for Pesach and I really don't want to spend more, especially when I'm so clearly being shaken down unfairly in this way.
@Dan can you assist?

Can't convert to a voucher? Or cancel and freeze and then rebook?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I froze my ticket and it was more trouble, freezing is only good  if you will lose the ticket as a no show.

If you are talking to the Philippines help line, try reaching the israelis, they are more flexible it seems. Can try telling them you need a hebrew speaking agent or call the tlv office direct.

What fare classes are the new and old segments?
There is an exchange fee when you change fate classes even to a lower one
Additionally it can be there are different fares for different days
Another thing is to remember that the second segment of a round trip is often  priced differently then 2 one ways
