Customers who purchased a ticket on or before October 1st, for a flight scheduled to depart on or before November 9th, 2024, may cancel their ticket without a cancellation fee and receive a voucher for future use on EL AL flights.
Checking availability for the end of November beginning of December showing near 0 availability there’s 1 flight with 1 ticket. Is this accurate or is Elal allowing travel agents to hold tickets?Freaking out a little because-My dates are dependent on baby being born so I will not know until I need to fly. Any ideas other than booking many dates and being left with many vouchers?
I added an alaska award flight to my matmid account,It took off -3750 points,They claim I booked the flight using matmid points...
Was it added after the flight?I received matmid points for flight a flight purchased with Alaska points, a while ago)
Was never added...
When do add your matmid number to the reservation?
After the flight
For US flights that are cancellable up to 4 hours before departure.
El Al Protect only gives you the benefit of vouchers that are usable by anyone, whereas cancellation is only usable by the original passenger. Is this correct?
With the Flex fares that includes a space seat and protect, if you cancel will you get back all the money as a voucher? as opposed to buying a regular fare, and then a space seat, upon cancel you lose what you paid for the seat.
Booked a ticket and now want to change it. The new ticket costs less than the original one if booked now, but El Al is saying there's a fare difference of $279 - that there are different prices for creating a new reservation or changing an existing one. Sounds like an effective change fee to me. Anyone had similar and got them to change at no additional cost? This ticket already cost over 2k to bring my daughter home for Pesach and I really don't want to spend more, especially when I'm so clearly being shaken down unfairly in this way. @Dan can you assist?
Can't convert to a voucher? Or cancel and freeze and then rebook?
