I've had the "access denied" issue, it turned out to be the filter I spoke to Techlock and they solved the issue I haven't had any problems since.

Elal won't allow me to pay 1$ seats for kids bc my flight was booked with Delta points. They are saying promotion only applies for flights booked directly on elal.com
Anyone have experience with this? Anyway to get them to honor it?

i just got this ok'd but it was a funny situation. delta booked me with extra space seats on one way (i was a silver medallion) but elal at some point realized i never paid the extra $500 for those seats and they cancelled and left me without seats on jan 1. i called to complain and after it was clear i wasnt getting them for free i said let me at least pay the $1 for kids deal (2 out of 5 seats) and they went to manager and said ok so i paid 302 total.

I need to get delta to credit flights i booked and took with elal in November (dont know if its too late). im working to get elal to remove my matmid points so i can get credit on delta but delta says i also need the delta flight numbers of the elal flights, anyone know where you can get these translated from elal to delta?

Most travel agents are not able to get you on LY as easily as this guy claims.

If the ticket is fully refundable you'll get your points back. If not, you'll be subject to a penalty and get points refunded. If you paid for voucher protect it you won't be subject to a penalty, but will get the refund as an EL AL voucher.

What do you mean "voucher protect"? do you mean "gold travel protector" from amex? or is there some way to get "voucher protect" even when booking thru amex, i don't remember seeing them offer that.

It's not offered through Amex you would've have to call El Al the day you booked your ticket and add protect for $29 which doesn't sound like you did.

He must be a good one. He lives in Israel so it's possible he has connections within El Al and he's able to get last minute seats that ElAl holds for emergencies (for people that have to fly with Niftarim etc..).
Just curious did you try to get on a flight with an agent and couldn't but tried him and he was able?

But for the future does that always work, meaning are they always able to add the voucher protect?

I don't know about always, but now they allow it although it got a little more complicated
as I recently did it for a ticket booked through Chase travel, and they made the Chase agent call in order to add it, also make sure you call the same day you book before 5 pm in tlv.
