I assume there is no way to do Online check in on a flight that's less than 3 hours after shabbos?

Check in for Motzei Shabbos flights opens Friday afternoon (36 hours before?).

Quick takeaway from the article: TLV-NYC is the most profitable route. LY can't afford to lose the clientele that cares about Shabbos on that route (and probably other profitable routes).

IME, before I booked I checked every day for a few weeks nothing opened up. And I even checked after I booked, and nothin. But maybe you'll be lucky.
