Why doesn't ElAl offer connecting flights to Europe/Asia via TLV on their own metal?

I guess it depends on where you're coming from, but there are usually plenty of more direct ways to get to those places.  Assuming you're starting from the US, why would you want to add a number of hours and transfer in TLV?

Elal survives with their O/D traffic, they don't need hub transfers, unlike most other airlines

They even fill their planes like that with poor service. Why would someone pay a premium for the special Israeli service?

I suppose you could try constructing your own connecting flight with El Al via TLV if it someone did end up being cheaper.  However, I read a report in one of the forums about someone from Cyprus (I believe...) who caught an UP flight from Larnaca to TLV in order to connect to an El Al long-haul flight.  He reported that despite the signage at TLV for transfer passengers, they didn't actually have provisions for it and made him go through passport control.

Connecting flights times can change. IMO, TLV is an easy Airport to navigate compared to European airports.

True. However it can increase revenue and fill planes during low season.

Agreed. But people fly SU to various destinations and connected in SVO even though it is out of the way.

Realy? Because I remember askingif LY allows stopovers in TLV when flying to HKG  and was told no. Interesting that you can do that to JNB and BKK.
