Saw the self-serve baggage drop the other day in TLV. Would this be a potential way around the carry-on weight limit?

Pesach is correct. But it's really for the other way around. They need to bring in the planes to fill in for the demand from NY to TLV.

Good question
- On Oneworld you might get objection from BA and Cathay.
- On Skyteam, I don't see anyone who would object besides perhaps DL and AF.
