Landing now. About 4 hours to Shabbos. Not ideal, but I can see many seeing it as acceptable.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

People who find it not ideal shouldn't book this flight.

In the US, it's jetblue and Alaska soon. But in order to have it checked through, it would need to have a separate reservation. You also might have luck checking through if you book on an OTA for a single confirmation number even if outside those formal codeshare agreements.

Very likely. LY has flights from TLV to NYC via YYZ connecting on WestJet and AA

As far as I can tell, this is the latest information we have on El Al's new 787 routes:
https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/airlines/airline-news/el-al-announces-first-787-8-routes-plane-configuration/

What's the likelihood that El Al will actually be flying the 787 into Boston by January?
Currently, their schedule for BOS shows the 772 through March.
In contrast, for YYZ it does in fact show 787 for 17NOV, as indicated in the post.

Not sure what the first question is. But LY certainly is not flying 787s only to NYC.

sorry, to rephrase

it seems every single flight on the NY/NJ-TLV route is on the new Dreamliner, aka no more of the old plane. Is that true? At least reflected approx 6 months out on Qantas?

As of today Elal still uses 747s and 777s on NYC-TLV. At some point they switch to all 787s. not sure when.

But why don't you simply check the flights scheduled for your dates?

Lately it's charging a lot. And some flights are quite random. I'd suggest looking at the specific flight you want

date is far out. Does ewr ever fly old 747’s?
Yes. Lately very often.
Generally, from TLV, the 12:05am is a 747 or 777, and 1:00am is a Dreamliner.

Is there any way to cancel an Elal ticket (booked less than 24 hours ago) right now by calling a call center located in America?

I found an American number 800-223-6700 (that may or may not work for cancellations) but how do I know if they are located here or not?

ETA: Found it eventually
