He wrote about it because he gets paid for it just like he writes about all mileage purchases, even Alaska the week after they devalued.1.85 is too expensive for Hyatt points. Go buy some Hyatt nights or Chase points on the grey market.
Chase will likely cost close to 1.8 to buy from a broker, and they may not want to sell small amounts (being as you can only transfer to a limited amount of people). Hyatt will be cheaper, but that doesn't help you if you want to top off your account.
People are selling Chase in the grey market for 1.8?
Who said to buy from a broker?
Where else DD does not allow you to sell your points on the forums publicly
Where else DD does not allow you to sell your points.
The irony is that if I did post this I'd have a dozen comments on the post asking how dare I make a post about buying miles at such an expensive rate. Can't win.
I have to say Dan, you do a great job when deciding what to post and what not to post. The site is run and named after you. At this point I hope you don't care what the trolls say to you. Keep doing your good work!
Sometimes people are not familiar if the value i good or not. Most hyatt members got the email about this sale. Many turn to DD to see if he breaks it down and see if its worth it. It doesnt always have to be positive, sometimes its just a discussion
I've never really used DD as a discussion platform, it's a deals platform. That's what DDF and DDFB are for.If it's not a good enough deal I usually will just ignore it.
That's why Gd created Whatsapp and Facebook.
Agreed, as opposed to Lucky who loves to post these things (perhaps has to) and then end it with, "This deal is not for me, but does it work for you? Sound off in the comments!"
I am not active on DD FB, is selling miles allowed there?
