Not sure where else to ask this but what would you take? Whats a better value? 5000 Amex MR points or $100 credit?
How many points is it worth taking to not take a $100 Statement credit.

From their perspective 5000 Amex is only $50 so I would mention that, say that $100 is more like 10k points, and ask how close they can come to the 10k in points instead of the $100 in money.

And remember to HUCA if need be.

$100, no question, IMO. Although if pushing for 10k is an option, that may be best.
