« on: March 22, 2011, 04:00:25 PM »
I'm looking to buy a good washer and dryer that can last me for many years, does anyone know what's a good one and a good price?
Any coupons?

we tried a few over the last 26 years, the LG front loader is the winner, not cheap, but does not ruin your clothes

I bought a good whirlpool one from craigslist and they delivered it to and set it up. See if you could get one in your area

I got my parents a great quiet Samsung set on sale from Sears that they love.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Looking for a dependable stackable (but front-loading) w/d that won't break the bank - any recommendations please?

ETA: I'm looking for a model recommendation, if I was looking to buy one off someone I'd post in the Goods for Sale/Trade forum.

I just got lg set front load for about 1250 AFTER rebate.
I was told by 3 people its worth it to add the 5 year warranty(the store doesn't make $$ on this)

I've had great experiences with the LG sets and Samsung sets. Can sometimes get really good deals in Lowes, and if you're in the NY area give Town Appliance in Lakewood a call, they deliver to anywhere in the tristate and their prices and service literally can't be beat.

I definitely recommend the 5 year extended warranty! I had a Whirlpool washer And after 2 years it just started making lots of noise and I called the warranty co and they said its a fluke but the drum broke off its bearings and a week later I got a check for the amount i paid and bought a brand new one for cheaper.

My dryer just started making loud squeaky noise and they are coming tomorrow to look/fix it!
I have both whirlpool duet W steam and they work well ( but both giving problems 2 yrs in although the store got it from said he never heard complaints on them and ppl love them)

I like doing my research so I know what I want before I call a local store.

why not do your research by calling this store.
then do follow up research and when you decide on something, call them back?
