This is seriously scary stuff, in the wrong hands. IMO this thread should be deleted.
Scary stuff? That someone who went through security, in their own name and with their own passport might get on a plane with a ticket that's not their own? What possible danger is there to that?
Is it really logical that you're not able to sell a plane ticket that you've bought? You can sell a train ticket if you're not using it, you can sell a concert ticket if you're not using it, you can sell a sports event ticket if you're not using it. Why are plane tickets different?
The only reason that plane tickets are non transferable is because if they would be, the higher fare classes wouldn't sell at the last minute (as people would buy from others), and airlines wouldn't be able to charge such prices for refundable tickets, as it would be worthwhile to buy a ticket in advance and just sell it if you can't fly.
The airlines made a rule for their own profit, and horrified people are scared that a terrorist might see? This is the same as half the threads here; getting around a companies restrictions made for its maximum profitability.
On that note, I think doing this and flying on someone else's ticket is highly inadvisable.
