The 2 short segments (TLV-FCO and FCO-TLV) are in Business class. It's a A320. J configuration is 2-2 vs 3-3 in Y.
The 2 long segments (FCO-JFK and JFK-FCO) are in Premium Economy. They are mostly flown by their A330. Configuration is 2-3-2 compared to economy which is 2-4-2. They also fly a 772 to JFK sometimes in which the seat configuration is 2-4-2 vs. 3-4-3 in economy.
2 free checked bags allowed in these cabins.
Bookable on Expedia, Orbitz and Priceline etc. (Don't change any settings when searching. Just search economy.)
Sample dates 7/10 - 7/17 or 8/9 - 8-24 MOST DATES ARE AVAILABLE

Available to BOS and MIA as well from $1151
(note that some of the search results may have 1 or both of the short segments in Y instead of J. So double check before booking)

1. Looks like blocked middle on the shorthaul, not really 2-2.
2. Search for Premium Economy, not economy.
3. What does this normally go for?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

It's $1000 in premium economy, vs $590 for economy. Not so hot, IMO.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

1. I was unsure. In Sabre graphical seat map it shows as 2-2. I know someone flying it Sun. I'll ask him to report back.
2. I got an error on Priceline when searching PE. It worked when I did it regular. Although I believe the results were best on Expedia
3. Not sure. But any other airline in PE is pricing nearly $2000 besides Aeroflot at $1190 and UIA. Unless you count LY or UA where PE is just a upgrade for some extra inches of legroom. This is a separate cabin with it's own seat configuration.

As I mentioned before, PE has many definitions. On LY it costs $300 RT for the upgrade but all you get is a few extra inches of legroom. Some airlines (a lot of the European ones) have a separately designed cabin for PE. From my search on Kayak in PE, it seams that on most airlines it's a lot more than $500. From the pictures I just searched online, it looks like it's quite a step up from the regular economy.
(and don't forget the 2nd free checked bag)

I apologize if I over exited you. But it just happens to be business. Check-in is by business, baggage allowance is like business, mileage accrual is like business. It may not have lie-flat seats, but it is business.

AZ has a premium economy sale out of TLV using the promo code EURIL. It brings down the price to PEK in PE to 841$.NYC is pricier at around 990$, still a great fare.

That's the slash, not the quotes.
