By the way a bike rack is illegal to have if your not carrying bikes on it. So yes you can technically get pulled for that.
Yes you can come up with every excuse in the book why you have it on your car.

And it does work for red lights and speed?

I would assume because they try to bill at the moment, and of nothing turns up they dismiss the ticket?

Never tried it with speeding/red light camera but I did try it by toll (took off my ezpass) and sure enough I got a bill in the mail a few days later. IIRC one of the reasons for having the temporary plates was for toll purposes

Having temps would allow you pull the temps away from the window when going through. Vs real plates mounted onto your car.

Unless you got some fake temps. Then you'll be fine without the need to do anything.

Paying for a toll I'm totally in for, as I'm using the highways and bridges.
While paying for the speed and red light camera's is sickening.( Yes part of living in NY).

my temps were screwed onto the car. Didn't have a problem paying the toll. Was just curious if it'll work since someone mentioned to me that you can get thru without paying.

Yes I know someone who would pull in his temps when going through the EZpass. And wasn't billed for those tolls.
Not recommended, but yes it does work.

Reading the posts here reminded me of my boss who is a very smart person but as is often the case they can be a little interesting too.
Anyways he used something for his plates maybe a spray or something and just ignored the camera. He got a ticket in the mail and then it dawned on him that he's driving around with a commercial van with the company name and address in huge letters...
