New car service app - Juno (Currently 35% off!!!)

I used it today. I am a loyal uber VIP with over 3,000 miles under my belt.
However JUNO solves everything I hate about UBER.

They are only taking drivers with an uber rating of 4.8 and above.

I used this promotion today it was excellent.

However today's 50% off from uber isn't too shabby either

Once these beta promos are over and their pricing is comparable to Uber, and Lyft, I cant see myself using JUNO over either of the others. IMHO there's nothing to love about one over the others and its just a matter of which has the best available price when I'm ready to go.

So far no peak surcharges with Juno.. That's more then enough reason to take them over Uber / Lyft.

Thats included when I look at the price when I'm ready to go. I check what the estimate is (or POOL/Line price) and I pick whichever is cheapest. If Uber and Lyft are in surge, then JUNO will be cheaper and I'd go with them. But there are no other factors that I can think of that would make me more likely to go with JUNO over Lyft or Uber.  Some people seem to be swayed by how they treat the drivers or how friendly the driver is. I don't particularly care about that. I care about who is going to get me where I need to go for the least amount of money without a hassle.

Now all we need is something like priceline/expedia, where you enter your destination, and it pulls the prices from Lyft/Uber/Juno.

They also show Lyft, but it also says "Ad" next to them both, so I'm not sure if they'd include Juno. It might just be the apps buying Ads via Google Maps.

They actually have Gett as well, maybe Juno does not have a API yet.

On that note, why does Google Maps show estimates for Line and Pool rides when the apps themselves show final prices before your request?

I had never seen Gett until today. But I also hadnt seen cab as a separate option, it was just under the public transportation options.

I'm assuming they show estimates because they use the same formula that the apps themselves use to calculate the estimate and then just take the standard discount for Line or Pool. So since they're just taking a percentage of an estimate they cant show a final price.

Got email today that Juno bought Gett. As of July 31st you will no longer be able to use Gett.
