I would ask LOR if one is allowed to take an ELAL flight at 11:30pm Motzoei Shabbos when Shabbos ends around 9pm. IIRC there was once a discussion about this involving definite chillul Shabbos.

I did it got there at 10 no problem . They are very well prepared for that flight . On shabbos someone tells me oh your taking the chllul shabbos flight.

I took a Motzoei Shabbos ELAL flight, but that was in the winter. The experience kept me away from ELAL ever since, so the שאלה hasn't been an issue for me.

I don't know about taking it in the summer, I would suspect that it might be a problem, which is why I said one should ask LOR. That being said, causing צער to another Yid on Shabbos by making a statement about something that might happen on Motzoei Shabbos is also something to ask an LOR about.

The one time that I was advised on a summer Friday that I must leave on Motzoei Shabbos, DL happened to have been a better option (despite travel agent trying to push ELAL) so didn't have to ask. Since that flight also involved a מצוות עשה, I am not sure what the answer would have been if I would have asked about taking an ELAL flight two hours after Shabbos.

Yes, they are quite flexible and realize people will show up late. I've checked in 45 min before but did not have baggage. There were still a few people in line behind me when I finished checking in.

I haven't been to Meron on Lag B'Omer in years, can't attest to what's going on.

However, I think there might be a difference if you actually pay for a ticket on a flight that can only be honored through Chillul Shabbos, vs participating in an event where some people were mechallel shabbos, but didn't directly involve your payment and participation, and might have also been done without Chillul Shabbos.

In any event, I am NOT a LOR and definitely not a GOR, so I am not making any Halachic opinion here, just making some observations and noting that one SHOULD ask their own LOR.
