Officially 6-8 weeks, I'm not sure how long it really takes. I'm not even sure I'll get them, but worth a try I guess.

Sounds like they saw something on your ChexSystems report (like a credit report for bank accounts) that they didn't like (say returned/bounced checks, insufficient funds etc.). Order the report here (it comes by mail) and see what it says. You can add a statement to your ChexSystems report disputing information stated in the report (any bank that pulls your report will see this statement).

You should also try calling CapitalOne and asking why your application was denied, see if you could reason with them.

Just called capital one and they said the promo (rm4) is a targeted promo so I won't get the points.
Did anyone have any luck with that promo?
And should I try to call again and maybe another rep will give it to me?
did you get the points? how do i do direct deposit?
