Assuming I would get Verizon service with Ecco is there any difference?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Helping friend with Total Wireless service. Canadian callers calling the phone (while it is in the U.S.) get an error message when calling. Rep. said that it's because there is no long distance plan.
A)That sounds really strange to me as the caller is the one is paying any extra rate for long distance. B)The plan has two lines, and only one of them has this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all total wireless is tracfone and their CS is a waste of time period! Try their chat team, they may be more helpful

According to this article they don't have international roaming

It seems like my question wasn't clear. The problem is not while the phone is in Canada. The problem is people from Canada calling the phone while it is home in the US.

What error are they getting?
If incoming works from other callers then what else would total even do...

It seems like they are not allowing calls originating from Canada.

Is there any way to get service while visiting Canada? Would a Canadian SIM work if the phone is still locked to Total Wireless?
