I would say, in general, no.  However, information is power. Next time United disappoints me -- not that it would ever happen! -- I will be able to say, "How can you treat me like this? I've been a loyal member for more than 27 years!"

When talking to someone who joined before you, it doesn't. When talking to one who joined after you, it does.

My guess would be a CO flight from NYC-CLE (We lived in Flatbush from when I was 6 months old until 4 years old) but I have no clue.
