So here's the scoop:
I've worked in caller centers b4 and typically they outsource these place at the latest hours, usually somewhere between 11pm and 2am EST.
I just called, put my social in and pressed 0 to be transferred to a specialist who proclaimed both my apps were declined. He said he could not see any reason why. I pressed for the reference numbers and he claimed that only the applicant can see this info when applying. Said he had no access to that. I asked him if he was in the States, answer was India. He said that a secondary review can be done to verify the accuracy of my credit report and that would require me to check what is shown and use that for further review. Nothing is wrong with my credit, but if I get a new report to them they will suddenly notice how 7 inquiries have suddenly vanished since the pull. This will look really strange and I won't know how to go about explaining that (for those of you in the know). So he said he was immediatel able to see both my apps because I entered my social in. I hope they reconsider me for both cards. I've spent over 16k with them in the last 2 years with overseas hotel charges, and prepayed the balance each month, sometimes forcing a negative balance. Fico is 774 and average history age is 3.4 years with various cards and medium high lines. The only thing I can see is it was an autodenial because 2 inqs were in the last 45 days, or because of dup-apps. They must not want my money anymore, particularly when they target my email for the 50k CO several times the last 3 months. That's fine, plenty of other tasty fish in this sea that want my bait.
