I just checked my equifax Report after doing a 3bm with citi, (2 instant approval 1 pending) and I got two hard pulls, both from the same department

Just did a 3BM for SP, OPP and Explorer - looking to come out with net gain of 150k. Instant approval on the SP and pending for the other 2. No application numbers though. Should I wait for my letters to come before calling recon since consensus seems to be not to search for the apps via SSN?

I took screen shots of my apps but I don't see any app id numbers on them?

My pending apps said to wait 10 days (not 2 weeks and not 7-10). Any advice?

Then its too late for the APP IDs. If you're not in a rush, wait for the letters.

They're not visible without looking at the source code.

OK, well I guess I can wait for the letters. Based on this thread it seems calling the automated line is also a bad move, is that right?

Calling recon without appIDs (when you have multiple apps you don't want them to know about) is a bad move. I can't see why calling the automated system would be a bad move.

+1, there shouldn't be a problem with calling the automated line. But you likely won't get any updated info for a couple days.

Great, thanks for the advice. I'm going to sit tight for a few days and the maybe call the automated line. Maybe I'll be lucky and either or both of the pending apps will be approved even without recon.

For Chase that's more true than for Amex IME, Amex sometimes approves shows people the 'pending' confirmation-page, and approves them within a few hours.

Yep, you get a pending email and some time later, you get approved. A couple hours, a couple days. Have had that happen more often with biz cards than personal.

And calling the Chase automated line with multiple apps is just annoying because it just says, "Your first application was received on x/x/x and is...., your next application was received on x/x/x and is..." Yeah, I already knew my three applications were received on the same day and are pending....

And at that point, you're going to have to talk to recon anyways...

Just did a mini AOR
Amex: MB platinum, PRG and Delta all instant approval

Chase: continental, freedom, Hyatt all pending

I am thinking of doing a 3Browser. I currently have a CO and SP.
I am think of doing freedom, united and bold? I am hoping to get matched on the united for 50k. Although I got matched on the CO already, it seems like ppl are getting matched for 1 united and 1 CO. Any better ideas? Im looking to make some money by selling the miles, not really interested in cards that give benefits (except the freedom which I think in the long run would be a good card to have)

Looks good to me, good luck. Be prepared to play the recon game, and possibly closing your existing Chase cards to push some of these new applications through.

When I did 2BM for Plat + MB Plat this happened. Both said pending and then couple days later said approved.

I did the 2 browsers to apply for sapphire preferred and sapphire preferred business called them and had both approved. But I now see two hits on my credit report, Why did it happen, and can I get rid of one? or its here to stay.
