I thought if you froze exp and trans. then chase doesnt see any hard pulls recently? or ur saying eventhough its frozen they still know that i just got 3 cards..?
sorry if im not a bucky yet in this inyan.

I just froze my experian and trans and applied for co/ua. I had no pulls on my equifax , I called chase and the first lady I spoke to before i got them approved said no bc i had too many credit inquiries. How is that possile? Is it possible that they know that i just got four cards this yr eventhough I had no inquiries on equifax?

The truth is that appllied for the cards prob five Minn after I froze both ...does freezing normally require some.time for freeze to take effect?

You need to check your state regulations. This is for NJ:

"Credit reporting agencies must place the freeze no later than five business days after receiving your request."

It's likely they didn't pull EQ then... most times--though certainly not all--when you freeze, the Recon CSR will ask you which report is unfrozen.

If they didn't ask you, they probably pulled EX (in NJ).

She did ask me about the freeze so i'm assuming only one got frozen and they either pulled from experian or trans maybe..
I live in NY. do you know the regulations or know where i can look that up?

They won't see the hard pulls if those hard pulls are on the frozen bureaus. That's not going to stop them from knowing you just opened xx accounts recently. When I say recently, typically 60 days on from when you applied for those cards will show on all bureaus (with most cards). I had 2 bureaus frozen and they pulled my TU and of course saw that I had opened 4 accounts in the last 12 months and wanted to know why I was so thirsty for credit.

Something you must understand about security freezes. If you have an existing account with a creditor you can’t stop them from pulling your report if they choose. It seems most creditors are not even aware of this.

Something you must understand about security freezes. If you have an existing account with a creditor you can’t stop them from pulling your report if they choose. It seems most creditors are not even aware of this.

They can pull your credit in regards to the existing account. I highly doubt they can hard pull and open a new account. Or else freezing would be pointless.

Yes, I did for my first of the 3 and then a quick call to recon got the other 2 approved without any closing of other cards or questioning of me.

A couple seconds, it was all on the same computer. Unless you have 3 hands or multiple people, I don't see how you can push the button at the exact same time.

it can all be done in 2 sec, as opposed to waiting like 30 giving time for the 1st to get approved instead of all 3 getting flagged as multiple app

I didn't wait for each one to get approved (or declined), but there was inevitably a second or 2 between each app just to push submit, etc.
