For all 12 games, I would like to get about $500, but I am flexible... to an extent.

Yes. All 12 games, 2 games per ticket. So 24 tickets for $500.

I'll pass.  I really don't see myself ever taking a cruise.  Not my idea of a vacation.

I cant even tell you how many times I have heard that.. But once you try it, you will be hooked. Also, financially, it makes sense. For a 7 night, 8 day cruise out of Baltimore, the average price is about $500 a person (for a nice room). Thats about $70 a person a night. That includes the stay in the room, 3 meals a day (plus 24 hour room service/snaking), all of the entertainment, and you go to awesome locations (Bahamas, Caribbean, etc).
But like you said, not your idea of a vacation. Well, what is your idea then?

Anything that involves being captive with other people sounds more like where you go if you are bad.

I like to go out, do/explore things on my own, and avoid anything with the name "group" like the plague.
And I don't think $70 per person per night is all that cheap either.

Hehe.

I'm amazed at the people that will go to a place like Maui and go on a group bus on the heavenly "road to hana".  Or to the big island on a group tour of Mauna Kea.
Rent a convertible and make it your own!!!

No shame in that IMHO.

Spending money is easy.  Saving money in Motel 6's is easy.  Having a 5* time for free...now what's where fun really happens!
