LGA > YUL domestic or international?
« on: June 23, 2016, 06:40:50 PM »
Hi,

This might be a stupid question, but I was wondering if flying from LGA to YUL is considered a domestic or an international flight? I once heard that it is considered domestic (because you don't clear customs in NY). If anyone can please advise that would be great.

Basically my question is this, when flying to Montreal from LGA, is check in 45 minutes before the flight or 60?

You clear us customs in Montreal that's why you enter us as domestic.
What airline?
Jews ≠ Zionists
Palestinians ≠ Hamas
Satmar ≠ SatmarHQ

American. Writing a complaint back to them about my horrid ordeal last month. Before I saw anything more I want to have all of my facts straight.

If I fly from YEG (Edmonton) to YYZ, with an overnight layover, then connect to LGA. If I clear American customs in YEG, but I leave the airport in YYZ, I will obviously need to go through security again, but will I also need to go through customs again?

What happened?

background: we have an infant so the system wouldn't let us check in online on our own in a nut shell: flight was delayed twice (first by three hours, then two hours earlier), both times aa called. we got to the airport and checkin counter 65 minutes before our flight. agent left for 5 min, came back, tells us our flight was moved earlier agian, this time to 35 minutes from when we got to the airport. missed our flight, were courtest rebooked to jfk. jfk flight was delayed, we would've missed our connecting flight in montreal back to ca so we rebooked ourselves on a direct flight. while trying to get our bags (another big drama), toddler hit his head against a chair in baggage services, needed glue (ugrent care visit). made our eventual flight home but not happy with the way the whole thing was handled. sent a complaint in, got a response back but not a fan of their response so i am writing back to them again. (lol this is the cliff notes version).

Interesting, I automatically assumed I was. So does this mean my luggage won't be checked all the way through (it's on the same ticket)?
