Where is the best place to find $500 gift cards? Would CVS or Costco or Walmart have them?
Also, can I just buy $3000 worth of gift cards in one day - and that will do the trick?

Thanks again, everyone.

Jake

Cvs you can purchase up to 2k a day. Riteaid is unpredictable whether they will let you use a credit card to buy visa gift cards. This will vary from store to store, from cashier to cashier, and even from customer to customer. Same goes for walgreens, Duane reade, target, kmart, and other big stores. Walmart system may not let card go through occasionally. Make sure to buy visa gift cards. If you have easy access to Walmart, read the serve thread referenced above how to liquidate these cards using Walmart and serve.

If you can buy, it should work for bonus.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

If you're really desperate/lazy you can pay someone with Venmo or the like and just eat the 3% fee for the transfer.

Shoprite supermarket also allows a cc to buy GCs, with a limit of 2K.

As of when is this limit in effect? Is this including variable cards? How recent was your experience with this?

Most places that you buy 3k from the first time you're using them (and especially if the card is declined, as will likely happen if he never makes transactions this size and hasn't weathered the account) will flag you and cancel all future orders.

Prepay as many upcoming expenses as you can.  Cell phone, utilities, various insurances.
