Spending the Minimum
« on: June 23, 2016, 07:07:13 PM »
Hi all. What's the latest and greatest way to quickly spend the 3,000 minimum? Ideally, so I could get the cash back quickly to pay that selfsame credit card bill. I'd prefer not to buy Amz giftcards and such.

Thanks so much!
JM

And no need for a new thread.

"Serve"? Sorry, can you please explain, or link to a post that addresses this? These are Starwood cards.

I'm soooo confused. You've been on the forums since since 2010 and you don't know what serve is...

That was amazing.

Thanks! I have a week left to get to $3,000, and I see that I can only spend $1000 using my Amex. What about the other $2k - any suggestions?

Unfortunately that won't work due to my rent setup situation. Any other ideas?

I just got busy and forgot about it and now the deadline is upon me. Normally I can spend the minimum within the timeframe specified...

You can buy $500 visa gift cards and load to serve at Walmart or Family Dollar. All this is spelled out in the serve thread.

So how about just buy visa gift cards now and use them for your regular spend.

Where is the best place to find $500 gift cards? Would CVS or Costco or Walmart have them?
Also, can I just buy $3000 worth of gift cards in one day - and that will do the trick?

Thanks again, everyone.

Cvs sells them. They have a limit of $2000 per 24 hours they cost 504.95 each. It would take you 24 1/2 hours give or take to complete your spend that way, 29.70 in fees...and all the time in the world to unload the gc's... Best of luck
