where could i find a Jetblue  award chart?
No award chart. It's a revenue based award system.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Just (another) data point:
I had to transfer some MR to VA, because I didn't have enough SPG.
The good news is that the MR transfer immediately.
The bad news, besides the poor exchange rate (2MR-->1VA) is that there is also an excise tax fee that AX charges for  MR transfers to domestic airlines.
I had transferred MR to B9 earlier this year and don't recall such a tax; I'm sure others have posted about it elsewhere but I'm too tired now to look for it.
AX charged 1,680 MR (which I could have paid as $8.40 if I had preferred) for the transfer of 14,000 MR.  I think the t and c said the max excise tax is $99, presumably per transaction.

Now I have to wait for my 43,001 SPG to transfer to VA. (Sadly, I was ~2,000 SPG short of 40,000, so I could only get 5K bonus on the first 20,000, not the second 5k bonus.)

You should've bought SPG to cover
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

MR->B6 has excise tax. As do MR->All US based airlines.

I did buy. I didn't even think of calling and asking. Oy. kicking myself.
This is for DW. She only had about 8,000 SPG. I bought 30,000 SPG. T and C say that you can only buy or receive as gift total of 30,000 SPG per calendar year.
I could have transferred the remaining few thousand from my account to hers, but in my experience, that transfer takes several days, sometimes as long as a week, so it would likely miss the JetBlue promo deadline.
I couldn't think of another way to get ~2000 SPG points into her account, so I had to round out the 50,001 with MR's.
Lesson learned: always ask here first.
Thanks.

So far this week you kvetched why I didn't post a deal and give you a HTfor a deal that nobody even wrote write about, why I didn't HT you for posts that JJ made that weren't posted in the HT thread, why I didn't call an advertised OK deal a smoking hot price mistake, and something about SPG that I still am scratching my head about.

Been staring at a screen for 17 hours straight and you're surprised that all this kvetching is making me kvetchy?

He means, why didn't you mention that if you have say, 39,670 SPG points, you can transfer 1K Amex to SPG, at a 3:1 ratio.

We have someone here who says he had 8k SPG in his account purchased 30k, was short 2k, luckily he got it from them with asking, he would have an option of paying 6k MR and earn 2k SPG which would produce another 5k VX points, anything bad?

You can find "friends" that will transfer from their spg account to your virgin account. Researched this
myself today...

That's fine, but your tone is always accusatory and the details are rarely spelled out.
Why is 330 SPG for 1000 MR not in the DDMS post?...

I don't mind critical feedback, I just ask that things are kept respectful.

There's not an agenda just because I didn't think through such a scenario to write about on DDMS. AMEX to SPG is a rather obscure use AMEX of points.

You can find "friends" that will transfer from their spg account to your virgin account. Researched this
myself today...
And if he had friends like that, then he wouldn't have bought the 30K, so it's a moot point.

Agreed. I wasnt posting to make zow feel bad, was really posting more for others that are reading this and may be looking for ways to get the needed points. If you dont actually have points in your account the cheapest way is to find "friends" that will transfer for you rather than buying from spg/transferring from amex/citi.
