Was fine opening JetBlue and Elevate accounts but Amex MR and SPG won't allow you to transfer the points to someone not on the account (15 years old or 18 years old) so I wasn't able to transfer the points from my SPG -- > Son SPG -- > Elevate or my MR --> Son MR --> Son Elevate.

I also have Chase UR (son has a savings account there as UTMI) and Citi Thank You but it seems that I'm out of luck. If anyone has any thoughts / tricks let me know!

Did anyone capture a screenshot of the TOC? I sent in my elevate screenshot while it was still up and active, but they have since taken it down from their site. I'll need it if I stand any chance of talking my way through this.

I'm hoping that all request be honored, as I already invested 80,000 SPG points into this.

However, the T&Cs do state that "Offer does not apply to non-revenue travel". Now, that can be interpreted to mean that the R/T Jetblue flight must be a revenue flight, but it can also be read to say that the Virgin points must be earned through revenue flights.

I disagree.

Does not apply to non rev travel would mean that the points were earned through non rev travel, aka points travel. And earning points on points travel doesn't exist.

It does say at the end that offer can be modified or cancelled at any time.
This really stinks I just transferred spg points this morning. Any way to cancel a submitted transfer?

Send a reply asking for the name of the representative behind the denial. Tell them it would be helpful for the DoT, BBB, and CFPB complaints you responsibly plan on filing, in leu of the fact that you have archived terms and conditions not mentioning a word about any flight earnings requirements. Thank them for their anticipated response.

I have bitachon that Dan will resolve this as he did the Fairmont Groupon fiasco a few years back (Although I was not yet a talmid of Dan at that point so I didn't benefit from it).
