I booked a round trip and i need to be back home earlier than expected. Seems like no way for me to get around $70 change fee. Rep said I can do stand by for earlier flight back and they'll give me seats free if there is available. Any risk in missing out on promo if I end up taking that earlier flight? Any other suggestions w/o paying $70 or $50 (if I make change that day)? Other flights that day & next are same price as mine.

huca. I called couple weeks ago and the superviser was nice enough to switch it w/o any charge. Just gotta plead your case...

They say they do 1 time Courtesy I guess you have to give them a compelling reason why

So, i'll aim for take 3 bonus 5000 points

Next, meeting spending on Barclays card for 33,000 points and hoping AU bonus works

I booked through an OTA so seems harder for them to switch it..

I changed an OTA booking on JetBlue's website without issue.

going 8/23 JFK-BOS b6 518 9:19 am arrive 10:36 return BOS-JFK b6 117 11:04 arrive 12:19. i assume its going to be same gate/plane returning. but def same terminal and nearby. otherwise, i just go standby next flight.

I had a hard time canceling on their website despite mosaic, probably because I used someone else's travel bank in booking, but eventually got it. Unfortunately the full refund now went into that travel bank. Also unfortunately prices are now way higher for any days that work for me, but I'll have to swallow it. BH cancelled tix for a good reason, nephew's bris scheduled for day of original flight
