Credit card value after being cancelled / inactive
« on: July 13, 2016, 11:05:21 AM »
Do credit cards have a value or benefit it can still be used for after being cancelled?
For example: the Amex Plat card can still be used for centurian/ delta lounges even after being cancelled/inactive
(i learned that the hard way after doing some card housecleaning and cutting that one up...)
Before i make that mistake again, does the Amex gold/ green actual card have any benefits that i can use it for?

You sure that a closed plat gets centurion access? I thought delta sky club was the only place you could use it.

Are you, now? I'm sure you're talking from experience... ::)
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Maybe it changed but IIRC most people reported they were not able to, except some cases where the representative thought they were still a card member just not with that card.

A lot of little kids like feeling big and important, completely unaware that what they're projecting is a worthless show, and everyone is looking at them like little children.

What value do you get from cutting up an inactive card?

A lot of little kids like feeling big and important, completely unaware that what they're projecting is a worthless show, and everyone is looking at them like little children.

Playing pretend has huge developmental value.

I was referring to one little kid, not in general.

My husband still has his card and we use it at centurian in LGA all the time. never tried any other locations. used his card at the delta lounge last month but since mine was already cut up, had to pay the guest fee.....

Growing up and parenting are both things that happen in little-moment increments.
