Chase does a hard pull for bank accounts?
In order to understand recursion, you first need to understand recursion.

Nobody else has a credit report to look at to post where their inquiries come from?

that's weird, because when I opened my account I specifically asked if it will make a hard pull and she said no, its a bank account, not a credit card account...

The person you asked was obviously biased...

one would think that if u have a question about a chase bank account, the best place to ask it would be in a chase bank. obviously not.

These are the same people that tell you if you close your account within 6 months that they will take the miles back.
It's all about commissions!

My last report from 3/08/2011 has in past 24 months:

Equifax: 2 inquiries (BB&T Bank didnt realize that one was hard pull o well, Chase Bank)
Experian: 11 Inquiries (3 AMEX, 2 CBSD, 2 Chase, 4 CITI) - I guess CBSD is CitiBusiness Cards only thing that makes sense
Transunion: 0 Inquiries

Make sure you don't have any fraud-alert/blocks on any of your reports. It could be when they try to hit Equifax and/or TU they get blocked out so they hit Experian...
