I see Bank Of Hawaii also had 35K sign up card for Hawaiin Airlines besides the Barclays card:

Anyone have any experience which credit agency they pull from in NJ?

This bank is partnered with Barclays, so I would say it's the same thing

Last time I applied for Amex, I learned the hard way, that they do a soft pull once a month and tried to access that soft pull to approve/deny my app. Turns out I had higher utilization on the soft pull so they had to do hard pull to approve me. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with fact your account was frozen. It could be they are approving you since you already are Amex customer and they do a soft pull around once a month anyways...

BTW nowadays it's easy to get unlimited free access to all 3 CB's reports. Experian was already mentioned a few posts back, and credit karma is now giving the other 2 totally free, I think it only updates once a week or month, but experian is every time you log in

Does it matter where I apply from (different state) or does it only matter where the mailing/billing address is?

Just to clarify with barclays. (NY) If you were to do a 2bm why would it be two pulls? Firstly, Barclays only pulls once in three months unless specifically asked to pull again. So lets say, for example you apply for a cc, and you had previously applied before hand within three months, they'll automatically consider it a multiple application. So it'll be denied, unless you call and ask them to specifically pull again. Secondly the pull would be done on the same day by the same bank, so it'll merge regardless. What am I missing here?

Every card application gets a hard pull every time. Other than chase BIZ and personal, the multiple pulls from a given bank one day will roll up.

I don't think its like that with Barclay's if applying within three months of a previous application. Unless you specifically ask them too.

Yes. Unless you specifically ask them too. Basically it'll automatically be flagged as a multiple. So you'll have to call. They'll then ask you if you want them to pull again.
