Yes. Unless you specifically ask them too. Basically it'll automatically be flagged as a multiple. So you'll have to call. They'll then ask you if you want them to pull again.
If you say no, is that an automatic denial of the application?

I assume so. Point is though if its on the same day. #1 they may not pull again as its manual and they already pulled that day. (Although since its second app they might) #2 if its same day why does wiki say its two pulls? It should get merged even if they pull a second time.

many people have had success with 2 bm on barclays, including me and my wife.  Sure, it's a second pull, but it gets merged.
As far as the denial if you don't want another pull, that's nothing new. every credit application needs a new pull. Other than possibly having an app within 3 months be flagged as dupe I don't think you are saying much new?

I'm asking why the wiki says two pulls with a 2bm? Implying they don't get merged.

Fair enough. I updated it since it was inaccurate.

I live in NY and I applied for a Citi AA Platinum Select Mastercard on Monday.  Citi had a glitch in their computer system so the application had to be manually reviewed.  I have a credit monitoring service and someone reviewed my application yesterday. Citi pulled Equifax instead of Experian.  I'm pretty happy about that since Citi has always pulled Experian for my previous applications.

Same idea as HE.

For mortgage they pull all 3. Pretty much all banks do.

You did say mortgage:

Interesting article. Is that Amex thing true?
interesting. I've never actually been denied (at least after recon). Next time i get a denial I'll check my report before calling recon, athough that probably won't be until next year.
