Hmmm, if neither of you ever froze your reports, I doubt it. You can always get a 3-in-1 credit report and check.
to the best of my knowledge none of them are frozen.what is a 3-in-1 ? and how do I get it ?

Get an IdentityMonitor (search it) 30-day for $1, then once you get your report, see the 3-in-1 (all three bureaus) option on the left immediately after you sign in. You can do this for yourself and your wife, just don't forget to cancel within 30 days or they hit you with a $12.95 monthly fee.

Thanks. Any reason to do it this way over getting my free yearly reports from each bureau separately since its anyways the end of the year? or do they count the year from when I get it ?

I think it's per 12 month period. Some people prefer getting one free report every four months (staggered), for example: Equifax in January, Experian in May and TU in September so they get a free report every four months. If you're going to get your free ones you'll have to request both Ex and TU to know if you got multiple pulls.

it's not per calendar year, it's "once per 12-month period" and AsherO has the proper space it out during the year method.

but......  you can get CRs the day after you apply for credit.  The CRA doesn't know if you were approved or not, all you have to do is ask.

I live in Dayton, OH and Citi (consumer and business CCs) has consistently pulled from Equifax.  Other than that our pulls have matched what Dan has in post #1 for Ohio, for AMEX, Chase, and Barclays.  (No recent experience with the other creditors listed)

my EQUIFAX score is 9 points lower than than EXPERIEN and 15 points lower than TRANSUNION.

The cards I have applied for the last 24 months are, amex gold personal and biz, citi aadvantage amex and visa,  BOA visa , Chase southwest and SAPPHIRE PREFERRED,

INterestingly, I just found out that credit scores actually don't get updated for at least 2 months.

I got updated credit reports and scores on jan 12TH, But that report didn't show the card balances I paid in full in early December.
My score has gone down due to FEW HARD PULLS

I've gotten Experian and Transunion in NYC with Chase  Best I can tell is regular Chase was Experian but business and reconsiderations (when the original app didn't get a pull) were Transunion.
I got an Experian pull with Citi

Cap. 1: all 3
Citi: equifax

I'm in Ohio, and when I did 2 apps with Chase, I received a double pull. One on my Experian and one on TU. Anyone else have this experience? It was for the SP and AARP cards.

Im in NJ and did a chase app and got alerted from credit karma that there is a new inquiry on my TU report. not sure if I got hit double and didn't check the actual report yet but getting a TU pull in NJ I believe is rare in itself

Anything frozen?
Otherwise I would say that AARP may not be 2bm/3bm eligible.

Now that I've made some applications in CA in the last few months I can say:

Chase: Experian
AMEX: Experian
Citi: Experian
Discover: TransUnion

Also from a friend of mine:
US Bank: Experian

Nothing frozen.

This is beyond a 2bm issue. What happened is that I did a 2bm, and received the delayed response. This appears to have caused 2 pulls. Then I started calling them. First I convinced them to give me SP. Then a few days later, I called for AARP and they told me that since they never did a pull for that card they would need to do one now. I begrudgingly agreed, and I was approved. However, this caused another 2 pulls.

I forgot an important point. The pulls showed as Chase for one, and First USA Bank for the other. Some searching shows that First USA Bank is part of Chase.

Any ideas?

AARP probably is the First USA pull.

But why 2 pulls each time? It's as if 2 different branches of Chase are pulling my credit.
Worth fighting over?

I recently did a 2bm for chase. In the rejection letters, it said one card pulled from equifax and the other from expirian. I presume i got two hits for these. I live in MD. If my wife wants to do a 2bm, should we freeze eq and exprian to force a pull at transunion.
Also, when I did recon, they said I have 6 or so pulls, if they pull from transunion, will they see all the card accounts I have recently opened?

Yes, sounds like a good idea.
Yes, in most cases they are able, especially if the issuer from whom you are requesting credit is the issuer who granted you those new accounts.
